The Role
The Director of Technology will lead the Institute’s mission-led objectives by shaping and evolving the technology strategy, overseeing high performing technical teams, and ensuring effective delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects. The Director will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to translate fundamental research into practical solutions, while fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.
Your Profile
We’re seeking an accomplished technology leader with a strong track record of steering complex, high-impact technical delivery in research or mission-driven organisations. They will have significant experience leading and managing large-scale technical delivery teams, ideally in multidisciplinary, cross-sector environments. They will possess strong strategic planning, operational, and stakeholder management skills and cultivate an atmosphere of innovation and inclusivity. The successful candidate will hold a degree in technology, science, or engineering, with evidence of continuous professional development to stay at the forefront of technological and scientific advancements.

Main Duties
- Design and maintain an effective operational model to support delivery of S&I Missions and Strategic Projects.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the organisation’s overall strategy and missions with various internal stakeholders
- Identify and execute on opportunities to strengthen the delivery infrastructure of the Institute
- Support delivery by building effective relationships with senior technical counterparts in partner organisations
- Maintain a network of senior technical relationships across a diverse internal and external network to inform our strategic choices and be attuned to trends and developments.
