About The OpportunityIn the role of Heavy Diesel Technician, you will carry out advanced diagnostics, servicing, and repair work on a broad range of heavy trucks and trailers. Utilising modern diagnostic systems and working alongside a high-calibre workshop team, you will contribute to a service department known for accuracy, efficiency, and safety leadership.Reporting to the Service Manager, your duties will include:
- Identifying and rectifying faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance activities
- Preparing detailed service documentation and completing job cards accurately
- Using advanced diagnostic equipment and adapting to emerging technologies
- Tracking parts usage and maintaining precise service records
- Working collaboratively with fellow technicians and service advisors to exceed customer expectations
About YouYou are a trade-qualified diesel technician with strong practical experience and a dedication to delivering reliable, high-quality workmanship. You prioritise safety, thrive in a team-based environment, and take pride in achieving consistent results.To be successful, you will possess:
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Minimum 5 years’ post-trade experience servicing heavy diesel vehicles
- Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities across multiple systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
- Strong communication skills and a cooperative, team-oriented approach
