Following the successful acquisition of a well-established gearbox repair company, Allgears, we have significantly expanded our specialist transmission division and are now looking to recruit an experienced Gearbox Technician to join our busy and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional workshop with a steady flow of work on a wide range of modern cars and light commercial vehicles. The Role You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and rebuilding manual and automatic gearboxes, as well as carrying out related transmission work to a high standard. Responsibilities

• Diagnose gearbox and transmission faults.
• Strip, inspect and rebuild gearboxes.
• Repair and replace transmission components.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify transmission faults.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a clean and organised workshop.

Requirements We are looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience repairing and rebuilding manual and automatic gearboxes.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with modern vehicle transmissions.
• Good mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicle makes.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
