Industrial Electrician

JOB SUMMARYIndustrial Electrician will be primarily responsible for ensuring manufacturing equipment are in full operations by effective troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and resolve various automation, control, and electrical systems, maintain and repair industrial equipment and automation including PLCs, HMI, temperature control and other related devices
• Assist in planning and organizing of work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation)
• Participate in installation of new or upgrade of equipment
• Test, calibrate, commission, replace or upgrade electrical and mechanical devices and components
• Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures and quality standards
• Support manufacturing operations to locate and correct defects and problems
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Cross-train to assemble and wire machines and controls to assist with production as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician in a food/beverage industrial environment. We are not considering residential/construction electrician skills.
• Preference will be given to those with strong mechanical aptitude and work experience
• Strong skills in reading and interpretation of electrical schematics/logic drawings
• Knowledge of automated systems and suppliers, eg Allen-Bradley, Siemens PLC
• Demonstrated organizational skills and personal initiative
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and a proven safety record
• Isolation and lockout procedures
• Arc flash, First Aid, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform training

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Requires ability to work extra hours and/or work on weekends
• Requires frequent walking, squatting, bending, kneeling
• Requires ability to lift between 35 lbs to 50 lbs

Experience:

• Journeyman Industrial Electrician: 3 years (required)
