Baystate Medical Center is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist to join our well-established and collaborative OB Hospitalist team. Baystate is the only academic and tertiary care center in Western Massachusetts, providing comprehensive obstetrical care to a diverse and high-acuity patient population.
Position Highlights

- Inpatient obstetrical care only: antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum coverage
- 24/7 OB Hospitalist model with no call
- Work within a multidisciplinary team that includes Certified Nurse Midwives, OB/GYN Generalists, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
- Approximately 4,200 deliveries annually, with a high proportion of high-risk pregnancies
- Level III NICU on site
Scheduling Flexibility
- Choice of 12-hour and/or 24-hour shifts
- Inpatient-only practice
- Full-time equals an average of:
- 14 twelve-hour shifts per month, or
- 7 twenty-four-hour shifts per month
Academic Appointment
OB Hospitalists hold a faculty appointment with UMass Chan Medical School – Baystate and serve as core faculty for our 24 OB/GYN residents. Faculty also contribute to the education of Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers.

Compensation
- Salary range: $305,000 – $370,000, commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
- Board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Comfortable managing complex intrapartum care
- Experience working with residents, Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultants, and Certified Nurse Midwives
