Salary: $65,000–$68,000 per year (full-time)One of our hospitality partners, Product of Italy Kellyville, is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to fill a short-term, full-time role under a non-ongoing contract. This placement is designed to address a temporary surge in operational demand during the upcoming peak period and requires specialist culinary skills in traditional Italian cuisine. Role Summary:This position is required to support a seasonal increase in trade and maintain the venue’s reputation for delivering authentic Italian dishes, including handmade pasta and wood-fired pizza. The role is time-limited and has been created to supplement the existing kitchen team, not to replace any ongoing domestic positions. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of high-quality Italian cuisine, maintaining consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control
• Manage daily kitchen operations and oversee junior kitchen staff
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and liaise with suppliers
• Contribute to the design and execution of seasonal specials and rotating menus

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Chef in a high-volume commercial kitchen
• Demonstrated skills in authentic Italian cooking methods, including pasta-making and woodfired pizza techniques
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
• Excellent team leadership, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently during peak service hours under pressure

Important Note:This is a non-ongoing, fixed-term role offered to address a short-term business need.
