Senior RF IC Design Engineer

. Based in Cambridge, our client is a brand-new IC design team within a growing fabless semiconductor start-up. They are pioneering a smarter way forward in wireless technology, with a breakthrough solution that simplifies design architectures, streamlines production and reduces supply chain waste. They are on a strong upward trajectory with big expansion plans. To join their freshly created IC Design team, they seek a Senior RF IC Design Engineer to be responsible for:

• Designing RF circuits including wide band LNAs, RF switches, digitally tuneable capacitors and other analog circuits
• Supporting silicon RF IC circuit integration into multi-chip modules
• Setting up co-simulation environments, developing simulation models
• Using RF measurement equipment and troubleshooting measurement issues
• Mentoring less experienced IC Engineers in the group, and fostering a positive, supportive working culture within the team

Qualifications

• Established experience in RF IC Design with extensive experience with Cadence tools
• Experience in RF IC Design using various silicon technologies, including SOI as well as detailed transistor level knowledge including LNAs
• Experience of the Cadence toolsuite (Spectre would be a plus)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the drive to really make an impact within a fast-moving start-up.
