Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled OB/GYN Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to women across all stages of life, ensuring their health, well-being, and reproductive needs are met with excellence. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered services, promote health education, and support clinical research initiatives. Your expertise will help foster a positive patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of medical practice.
Schedule- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Occasional weekends required
- On-call: approximately 5–6 days per month
Required
- Doctorate degree
- 3+ years of experience in ALL of the following:
- Gynecology
- Obstetrics & Gynecology
- ALL of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in California (CA)
- Medical Doctor (MD) in California (CA)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
- Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS)
Duties- Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and assessments for women seeking obstetric or gynecological care
- Perform routine and specialized procedures including Pap smears, pelvic exams, ultrasounds, and minimally invasive surgeries
- Manage prenatal care, labor & delivery, postpartum care, and maternal-fetal medicine consultations
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with radiology teams to interpret medical imaging like ultrasounds and CT scans relevant to obstetric and gynecological conditions
- Provide family planning counseling, reproductive endocrinology services, and menopause management
- Participate in clinical research studies to advance women's health practices and contribute to evidence-based medicine
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records for all patients
Skills- Extensive knowledge of obstetrics, gynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, and related specialties such as endocrinology and immunology
- Proficiency in EMR systems like Epic; experience with medical imaging interpretation including ultrasound and CT scans
- Strong surgical skills including suturing, minimally invasive procedures, and catheterization techniques
- Critical care experience in settings such as NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), ICU (Intensive Care Unit), or Level I & II trauma centers
- Familiarity with perioperative care protocols, airway management, pain management strategies, and post-operative discharge planning
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using diagnostic radiology tools; knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and health coaching for diverse populations
- Experience working in hospital environments including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, labor & delivery units, or hospice & palliative care settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to women's health; understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques
- Ability to manage acute pain cases efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations
