If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you.As a Food Production Cook/Chef, you will be a key part of our production team, responsible for producing a wide array of prepared foods according to our established recipes and standards. Your expertise and dedication to quality will directly impact the satisfaction of our customers and contribute to the success of our business.This is a full time role, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities- Produce sauces, soups, curries and mixes using kettles in bulk volumes
- Ensure consistency and adherence to recipes and production guidelines.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily targets and maintain an efficient production flow.
- Uphold strict food safety and hygiene practices to ensure the highest quality and safety standards
- Participate in recipe development and process improvement efforts
- Assist in training and mentoring new kitchen staff to foster a skilled and motivated team.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, promoting a culture of cleanliness and professionalism
Requirements:- Reliable, hard working and dedicated
- Willing to start early mornings (4am) and work 8-10 hour shifts
- Switched on, intelligent and good with basic maths
- Proven experience as Cook or Chef, especially in a food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of bulk food production preferred
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of food safety and HACCP
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle pressure
- Formal culinary training and relevant certifications are preferred
