About the rolesWe are on the lookout for planning and project controls professionals across the east coast with experience in the rail, energy and technology sectors. Anvelo provides its services to numerous clients in a variety of construction sectors across Australia offering our people opportunities to be involved in a variety of complex and iconic projects. The Project Planner/Controller will develop, implement and maintain effective project financial and schedule management processes. The role will provide accurate reporting on time and cost, critical for decision making and the ultimate success of the project. In addition, the role requires an ability to plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the engineering and technical operations of projects. Key responsibilities include:
  • Project schedule development and compliance checks.​
  • Work and cost breakdown structure development.​
  • Earned value management.​
  • Baseline management and status updates.​
  • WBS structuring and management.​
  • Time-chainage diagrams for linear projects. ​
  • Design, procurement and construction scheduling.​
  • Systems and commissioning scheduling. ​
  • Progress monitoring and reporting. ​
  • Key performance indicators reporting.​
  • Management dashboard reporting.
  • Ensure conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards.
  • Ensure engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are observed.
  • interpret plans, drawings and specifications, and support engineering methods and procedures to achieve construction and production requirements.

Experience and skills needed:
  • Relevant formal qualifications in engineering, construction or management.
  • High level communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Construction industry experience preferably in the transport infrastructure and/or heavy construction sectors.
  • Project controls experience.
  • People leadership experience is desirable.
  • Chartered credentials (preferred).
  • Primavera-P6, Microsoft Project, Other scheduling tools, Time location charts.
