The Role Concrete4
Change (C4C) is seeking a
dynamic and
hands-on Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead our commercial strategy, global partnerships, and market entry. This high-impact
leadership role is ideal for a commercially driven executive with deep B2B experience in construction materials, cleantech, or industrial technologies, and a
proven track record of scaling revenues and forging global partnerships. As CCO, you will shape and execute C4C’s go-to-market strategy, structure scalable business models, and drive adoption of our breakthrough technology with leading cement, concrete, and construction companies worldwide.
The role requires balancing
strategic vision with practical execution—from
hands-on deal-making to investor and stakeholder engagement—in close
collaboration with the CEO, COO, and CTO.
Key Responsibilities - Define and execute C4C’s global go-to-market strategy.
- Design scalable business models across multiple markets (e.g., licensing, JVs, direct sales).
- Secure offtake and licensing agreements with major industry partners.
- Act as a senior representative for C4C at industry events, conferences, and policy forums.
- Build and lead a high-performing commercial team.
- Support fundraising efforts through commercial insights, pipeline forecasts, and market validation.
- Monitor market trends, policy developments, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- 10 years of commercial experience within the construction materials industry.
- 5 years of start-up experience, ideally with exposure to offtake agreements and licensing deals.
- A proven track record of delivering revenue growth and driving business development.
- Strong expertise in negotiating commercial contracts and managing complex deal structures.
- Established stakeholder network in the construction industry, with experience engaging at board level.
- Experience introducing innovative technologies into conservative, regulated markets.
- Understanding of carbon markets, sustainability frameworks, or ESG regulations.
- Exposure to fundraising and investor relations in growth-stage companies.
- Strategic leadership role in one of the UK’s most awarded climate-tech start-ups.
