Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Help develop new recipes and menu items that align with our culinary vision.
- Maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Monitor kitchen operations to maintain cleanliness and organisation at all times.
Requirements- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
