Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and restaurant operations, demonstrating exceptional leadership and team management skills. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation while assisting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations. Your culinary expertise and ability to supervise staff will contribute to creating an outstanding dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Help develop new recipes and menu items that align with our culinary vision.
  • Maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to maintain cleanliness and organisation at all times.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
