PR Account Manager

Skills required include: health or medical knowledge, communications strategy and campaign development; experience in new business development, client management, and budgetary management; junior mentoring; strong writing and presentation skills; understanding of, and experience with, the new media environment and its application to healthcare; health-related social media campaign experience; experience in managing, or coordinating communication programs to support the launch of new medicines and devices, or the publication of new research; experience working on consumer health brands; and strong, current relationships with, and knowledge of, the media, KOLs, health professional, and patient advocacy groups. An understanding of the Medicines Australia (MA) Code of Conduct and the regulatory pathways for prescription and OTC medicines, and medical devices, is also expected. The successful candidate will : · Possess a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, public health, medicine, or public affairs; · Have between 3-6 years of local/AUS/ UK agency experience; · Be currently managing healthcare clients at an AM or SAM level; · Have excellent written and verbal communications skills, with proven attention to detail, and a focus on delivering outstanding results; · Understand the Australian medical and consumer media landscape; · Be a team player with an ethical mindset; · Have proven commitment to improving patient lives, health, and wellbeing, and advancing medicine. · Planning and organising publicity campaigns and communication strategies · Advising executives on the public relations implications of their policies, programs and practices · Preparing and controlling the issue of news and press releases · Undertaking and commissioning public opinion research, analysing the findings and planning public relations and promotional campaigns · Organising special events, seminars, entertainment, competitions and social functions to promote goodwill and favourable publicity · Representing organisations and arranging executive interviews with publicity media · Attending business, social and other functions to promote the organisation · Commissioning and obtaining photographs and other illustrative material · Selecting, appraising and revising material submitted by publicity writers, Photographers, Illustrators and others to create favourable publicity VIVA!
