Head Chef

Job Description:The Chef will lead the preparation, cooking, and presentation of original dishes inspired byMiddle Eastern cuisine, adapted to suit British tastes — aligning with our brand identityas British Version Cafe and Lounge. Our vision is to introduce a modern, British-influencedinterpretation of Middle Eastern food culture, creating a unique and appealing fusion for theUK market.The Chef will be central in developing this food concept by adapting traditional recipes tomodern formats, overseeing menu development, and ensuring consistency for futureexpansion into a chain of restaurants. They will work closely with the Managing Director tomaintain high food quality standards, sourcing suitable ingredients and refining dishes forscale-up.Responsibilities also include training and supervising kitchen assistants, ensuring food safetycompliance, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and assisting in the rollout of seasonal andlocation-specific menus across new branches.Required Qualifications and Experience for the Chef RoleThe Chef role we are sponsoring is highly specialised and requires:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in preparing authentic Middle Eastern

cuisine, with a focus on adapting recipes for international (particularly British) tastes.

• Proven ability to develop new dishes based on traditional recipes and ingredients.

• Experience in leading kitchen operations, including training kitchen assistants,

managing stock, and ensuring hygiene compliance.

• Ability to create scalable recipes suitable for multi-branch food operations.

• Knowledge of UK food safety standards and kitchen hygiene regulations.

A formal culinary qualification is desirable but not essential, provided the candidate candemonstrate extensive hands-on experience and success in high-end or concept-drivenkitchens focused on Middle Eastern or fusion cuisine.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
