Bookkeeper (Knowledge of UK Tax Laws Required)

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UK tax laws and experience managing day-to-day financial records for small to medium-sized businesses.This role offers the opportunity to grow within the company, and visa sponsorship may be offered to eligible candidates following a successful probation period. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
• Handle bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax compliance
• Support monthly and year-end financial reporting
• Liaise with accountants and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations
• Prior experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
• Good communication skills

Desirable:

• AAT or similar accounting qualification
• Experience working in a UK-based accounting or finance firm
