Senior Spark/Pyspark (databricks)
Detalhe da Oferta: We are looking for skilled and motivated engineers to join our Data Engineering Analytics team. In this role, you will play a key part in reworking and modernizing our Python and PySpark ETL libraries and Delta tables, contributing directly to the efficiency and scalability of our data ecosystem.
While the focus is on data engineering, the ideal candidate may lean more towards a software engineering mindset, with strong coding practices and experience designing robust, reusable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Redesign and enhance our current ETL processes using Python and PySpark
- Modernize and maintain Delta Lake tables to support analytical workflows
- Onboard and curate new data tables, ensuring they are accessible and valuable for end users
- Build and expand our Data Quality framework using the Great Expectations Spark library
- Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure high data reliability and availability
- Contribute to software engineering best practices within the data engineering space
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles and ETL processes
- Experience working with Delta Lake
- Familiarity with Databricks (strong plus)
- Experience or interest in implementing data quality solutions using Great Expectations
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
The working model will be hybrid.Candidates must be living in Portugal.
