Bligh Park Hotel is a community-focused establishment committed to providing exceptional dining experiences with a contemporary twist on classic dishes. Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality food and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.Position Overview:
We are seeking hard working, experienced and dynamic Chefs for our culinary team. Bligh Park Hotel has capacity for 600 pax plus a function room for around 120 pax, so this venue is busy and faced paced.We are looking for professionals who take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, care about their team and have a growth mindset. There is potential to grow in this role and within the group.We are looking for team-members who are passionate about producing great food, from pub classics to fresh & seasonal specials. The team also likes to have fun at work.Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience as a Chef is required
  • Experience in all sections including larder, fryers, pans and grill
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with high volumes
  • Understanding of stock control and waste minimisation
  • Knowledge of all kitchen procedures, food handling and workplace safety
  • Food safety certificate

Tasks & responsibilities
  • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment
  • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
  • Cooking of all sections, including wood fire pizzas, grill, pans and fryers
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
  • Monitor food stock and place orders
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
