We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef to join our team in perth. The ideal candidate will work closely with our kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations while delivering exceptional meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:* Set up the kitchen for efficient food production and service.* Lead by example, encouraging creativity and maintaining outstanding culinary standards.* Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring quality and presentation meet our expectations.* Master all recipes and ensure consistent execution.* Cook and plate dishes in a timely and efficient manner.* Present dishes attractively and consistently.* Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff.* Mentor team members to build a strong, skilled, and cohesive culinary team.* Assist in the recruitment and selection of kitchen staff.* Train and onboard new team members.* Contribute to menu planning, costing, and implementation.* Monitor kitchen inventory and manage stock to minimize waste and control costs.* Maintain and ensure proper functioning of all kitchen equipment.* Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in accordance with regulatory guidelines.* Strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations.* Exhibit a strong work ethic and maintain effective communication across all teams.* Foster and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:* Completion of an Australian hospitality qualification—minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management, or a Diploma of Hospitality—is highly preferred.* Must have completed an Australian hospitality qualification as a mandatory requirement for this position.* Minimum1 year of professional experience as a chef.* Sound knowledge of hygiene practices and food safety standards.* Familiarity with procedures related to food preparation, storage, freezing, and inventory management.* Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.* Commitment to high standards of food quality and customer service.* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with kitchen, front-of-house staff, and management.* Understanding of food costing, stock control, and waste management.* Full-time Australian working rights.* Availability to work weekends—we operate 7 days a week.
