Your next career opportunity As a Research Fellow in our clinical trials group at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, you'll have the opportunity to apply your engineering expertise to groundbreaking medical research. You'll be involved in patient care, data analysis, and manuscript writing, while contributing to a culture of innovation and creativity. This role offers you the chance to enhance your research skills and make a significant impact in the field of medicine.
Your responsibilities will include: - Conduct Clinical Reviews: Assess potential or recruited trial patients, ensuring complete physiologic testing for trial eligibility decisions.
- Manage Clinical Trials: Obtain patient consent, collect and analyse trial data, and contribute to manuscript writing.
- Contribute to Teaching: Assist in teaching and supervising students as required .
- Participate in Departmental Activities: Attend team meetings, seminars, and actively contribute to departmental initiatives.
You may be a great fit if: You are a qualified engineer with a PhD, possessing expertise in fluid analysis and mathematical modelling, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a collaborative research environment.
You may also: - Have a PhD in engineering with demonstrated expertise in fluid analysis and mathematical modelling.
- High-level experience in cardiac MRI 4D flow analysis, evidenced through peer-reviewed publications.
- Prior experience collaborating between university engineering groups and clinical cardiology services in a large tertiary hospital environment.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, CONSOLE, and other analysis software.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Have experience working independently and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
