Begin date: 3/7/2026 Full Time: Yes Number of Workers Requested: 1 Job Duties: The worker will perform seasonal soil sampling and field scouting to support crop producers in the Devils Lake, North Dakota area. Duties include collecting and preparing soil samples for laboratory analysis, identifying and documenting field conditions, including the presence of weeds, insects, and crop diseases. The worker will use standard agricultural tools and methods to conduct in-field evaluations and will record data accurately for later analysis. Based on findings, the worker may assist in preparing reports that inform crop management decisions such as fertilization, pesticide application, and planting strategies. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking long distances across fields. Workers will be trained upon arrival to perform all tasks to company standards. These services are essential during the agricultural season, which typically spans from late February through November, with actual timing dependent on weather and crop cycles. The role supports precision agriculture practices by providing timely and accurate field data critical to optimizing yields and sustainability. The worker may also support general agronomic consulting functions under supervision. The job is seasonal in nature and depends on crop cycles, with no work available during the off-season. No prior experience is required, but attention to detail and physical stamina are necessary. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties.
