Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and enhance our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the supply chain processes, ensuring efficient transportation and warehousing solutions, and optimising business processes to achieve operational excellence. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of logistics systems, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Duties
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Manage transportation management systems to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Oversee picking, packing, and shipping operations within the warehouse to maintain high standards of efficiency.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service delivery and reduce costs.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in logistics operations.
  • Implement category management practices to optimise inventory levels and product availability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
  • Train and mentor logistics staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in logistics management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Familiarity with picking, packing, and general warehouse operations.
  • Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information effectively.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead teams effectively.
