Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chef with extensive experience in Indian cuisine to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes from our extensive à la carte menu, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spice blends, and ingredient sourcing, as well as the ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes from our à la carte menu, including appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts, adhering to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner, especially during peak service periods.
  • Manage and rotate food stocks, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station, adhering to all food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist in menu development and recipe testing, contributing creative ideas and culinary expertise.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, as needed.
  • Monitor food costs and contribute to cost control efforts.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Indian cuisine, preferably in an à la carte restaurant setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients.
  • Strong culinary skills and the ability to execute recipes accurately and consistently.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Formal culinary training or certification is preferred but not required with sufficient experience.

Job Type: Full-timePay: $52,790.86 – $81,825.35 per yearBenefits:
