In Australia, all the skills and competences of the Group Bouygues Construction, including those related to the energy sector have been historically offered by Bouygues Construction Australia Pty Ltd – an accredited sponsor for the TSS Subclass 482 visa program dedicated to provide world-class services in building, civil engineering, earthworks and infrastructure throughout Australia employing over 30 Australian citizens and permanent residents with an annual turnover of $836.000.000,00 delivering projects critical to Australia’s economy such as NorthConnex, WestConnex and Melbourne Metro
As part of the same group, ESSA has been collaborating with BYCA for the delivery of 8 utility scale solar farms, totalizing 650 MWp of installed capacity of renewable clean energy (Parkes (NSW), Griffiths (NSW), Dubbo (NSW), Whitsundays (QLD), Hamilton (QLD), Coleambally (NSW), Suntop (NSW) and Narromine (NSW)
In view of the success in the recent years and to reinforce the position in the country, the Group has decided to create a new entity in Australia, as a branch dedicated to exclusively grow and develop the Renewables Energies footprint in the country. In 2022 it was created Equans Solar & Storage Australia. The intention is to keep working together with BYCA for the delivery of Energy Project around Australia, whilst permitting to grow a specialized team able to deliver highest standard of clean energy projects.
The Position
We are searching for a PV Data Analyst who will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement data analyses to identify gaps, potential issues, and find conclusions using statistical techniques.
- Develop, implement, and document communications with substation devices and third-party companies.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, repair, report on, and recommend/ perform service of SCADA, RTAC, and instrumentation.
- Perform I/O loop testing, and wire tracing and identification
- Monitor and maintain the QC of the data collected and work hand to hand with the System engineer(s).
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities to ensure data integrity and build consistent criteria across a wide range of different technologies to consolidate reporting and trending into single method.
- Investigate solutions to ongoing reliability problems identified at the solar farms.
- Provides detailed written reports, including root cause analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
- Solutions oriented and self-motivated, you thrive in dynamic environments.
- Proficient in (language(s)).
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Experienced in programming languages (Visual Basic, C#, SQL) and Ignition.
- Experience in the new renewable energy industry is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with electronic communication systems (SCADA) considered an asset.
