Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor, the HVOF Operator will join our Hydraulics Department on a Full Time basis at our South Guildford Workshop. This role involves working closely with Workshop Supervisors to operate the HVOF Machine for chrome plating cylindrical rods used in Hydraulic Cylinders. Department Overview: The Hydraulics department specialises in hydraulic cylinder maintenance and repair, ensuring high-quality chrome plating using advanced HVOF technology. The team values safety, precision, and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment. Roster: 5 On, 2 Off - 2 weeks dayshift, 2 weeks nightshift - 10 hrs/day
What You’ll Do:

• Manage the operation of the HVOF Machine for chrome plating.
• Create high-quality chrome-plated cylindrical rods.
• Build strong working relationships with Workshop Supervisors.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in HVOF Operation, Chrome Plating, and/or Cylindrical Grinding.
• High Risk Licence – Dogging & Forklift.
• Experience as a Mechanical Trade Assistant.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety and risk assessment tools like Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's.
