We are looking for a skilled and motivated Chef to lead our kitchen operations and bring fresh ideas to our menu.About the Role:
As Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu development to team leadership. You’ll collaborate with management to deliver innovative, seasonal dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity with strong operational skills and a genuine passion for hospitality. Job Responsibilities: Kitchen Leadership
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and uphold high standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene.
  • Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to foster a positive and professional team culture.
  • Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements where needed.

Menu Development & Innovation
  • Design and deliver seasonal, creative menus aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure food presentation and taste meet the venue’s high standards.
  • Balance innovation with cost efficiency and portion control.

Operations & Compliance
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with venue management to align kitchen performance with customer expectations and financial goals.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Chef.
  • Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices.
  • Proven experience with cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • Creativity and passion for food, with an eye for detail and innovation.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to Melbourne, Australia (visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates).
