Chef

We are looking for a passionate Chef to be strong driver of our restaurant. We are a vibrant and unique Thai restaurant with a strong focus on quality, handmade food, sourced from local suppliers prepared fresh instore daily. Tasks & responsibilities• planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies• creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality• monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation• discussing food preparation issues with Venue Manager and kitchen and waiting staff• demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures• preparing and cooking food• freeze and preserve foods• explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations• select and train staff• oversee and monitor the work of kitchen staff to ensure all tasks are done as required• give staff feedback on their performance to enable staff development• ensure any staffing issues are resolved fairly and quickly About YouTo be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have proven culinary and management experience with similar experience in Thai restaurant. Excellent communication skills, demonstrating leadership and organizational abilities. Qualification:Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management, Diploma of Hospitality Management. Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management would be an advantage. Experience:Minimum 1 year working experience as a chef; preferably in a Thai restaurant or in an Asian restaurant. Understanding of Thai language would be a plus.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, CasualPay: $77,000.00 – $88,000.00 per yearBenefits:
