This role requires a balance of solid technical understanding, research skills, and engaging writing to produce content that deeply resonates with learners.Class Central’s articles reach millions of learners and education enthusiasts around the world. We're looking for someone who can deliver nuanced analysis to our audience, and write with clarity, depth, and impact. You’ll join a collaborative team of passionate writers, innovative developers, and MOOC experts, committed to raising the bar for quality journalism.On a regular basis, you will:
  • Pitch, research, and write compelling, technically-oriented articles for The Report.
  • Explore and evaluate technical courses and learning resources across diverse technical topics, such as LangChain, DevSecOps, Nginx, Penetration Testing, Amazon Bedrock, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Execute basic command-line operations and scripts to gather and analyze data relevant to your reporting.
  • Develop clear and actionable "best courses" guides and comprehensive listicles that simplify complex technical fields for learners.
  • Analyze industry trends, course offerings, and learner feedback to provide insightful, well-informed perspectives on technical education.
  • Enhance articles visually with relevant images, charts, and structured layouts to boost reader engagement.

About You
  • Technical proficiency: You have experience working with command-line interfaces, can run basic scripts, and are comfortable extracting data to support your writing.
  • Tech-savvy researcher: You have a background in technology or software development ecosystems and stay informed about the latest trends and technologies.
  • Engaged writer: Your writing style is clear, concise, and engaging, transforming technical complexity into accessible, actionable insights.
  • Creative idea generator: You proactively generate original story ideas that address learners' needs and interests.
