Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Carer to join our team. As a Carer, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, helping them to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This role requires a caring nature, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping others. Responsibilities: - Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting dignity and respect for individuals. - Assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and light household tasks. - Monitoring and recording vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. - Engaging in meaningful conversations and companionship to foster emotional well-being. - Accompanying individuals to appointments, social outings, and other activities, utilizing your access to a car. - Adhering to care plans and maintaining accurate records of care provided. - Building strong relationships with clients and their families, promoting trust and open communication. - Collaborating with healthcare professionals and participating in care team meetings as required. - Promoting a safe and supportive environment for individuals by identifying and addressing potential hazards or risks. - Demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding in all interactions. - We will provide further training and an individual plan to close any identified training gaps required to perform your job proficiently. We will work with individuals who shows a willingness to expand their knowledge and progress them through our talent scheme. Requirements: - Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Carer in the UK. - Valid and up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. - Access to a car and a clean driving record. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Basic knowledge of personal care techniques and understanding of health and safety practices. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends. £13.60ph weekend rate. - Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
