Support Worker - Presbyterian Support New Zealand Position OverviewA Support Worker at Enliven provides personal care and practical assistance to older people, people with disabilities, and clients recovering from illness or injury. Support is delivered in clients’ homes and community settings, with a strong focus on independence, dignity, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities: Personal Care SupportAssist clients with bathing, showering, dressing, and groomingSupport mobility, transfers, and safe movement (walking or wheelchair assistance)Provide medication reminders where permittedDeliver respectful care in line with individual care plans Daily Living AssistancePrepare meals and assist with feeding when requiredSupport light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shoppingEncourage clients to maintain independence at home Community & Emotional SupportProvide companionship and emotional supportAssist clients with appointments and community activitiesEncourage social participation and wellbeingBuild positive relationships with clients and families Care Plan & ReportingFollow individual care plans and instructionsRecord care provided accuratelyReport changes in client health or behaviourCommunicate with coordinators and nursing staff Travel & MobilityTravel between client homes using a personal vehicleMaintain reliable and punctual service schedulesRecord travel and mileage as required Skills & Experience: EssentialCompassionate and caring attitudeStrong communication skillsAbility to follow care plans and instructionsFull NZ driver’s licence and reliable vehiclePhysical ability to support mobility and care tasks DesirableLevel 2–3 Health and Wellbeing qualificationExperience in aged care or disability supportFirst Aid certificateKnowledge of dementia carePay: From $6,200.00 per monthBenefits:
