Accountant

Through this refreshing and innovative approach, we empower businesses to realise their impact.The ideal Accountant candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively. The accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and providing financial insights to support informed decision-making.Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial reports and analysis for management’s review, providing insights and recommendations based on the data.
• Overseeing the payroll process, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accurate payroll calculations and responding to payroll-related queries in a prompt manner.
• Managing reconciliations and month end journals
• Operating as a key contact for the client, managing the client relationship throughout the year to discuss their progress and agree on timeframes for the completion of their accounts.
• Taking ownership of client queries, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution to their questions and concerns.
• Regularly and actively assess for opportunities for process improvements and ensure process documentation is kept up to date.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Knowledge and experience in Australian accounting practices.
• CA or CPA qualification (preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software (XERO, Quickbooks).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience managing multiple clients (preferred).
