Hi All,We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Experienced Tandoori Chef to join our kitchen team at Indian Burrp Restaurant, Cheltenham. If you have a deep-rooted knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine and master the art of tandoor cooking, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Expertly operate and manage the tandoor oven, ensuring optimal temperature and consistency.
Prepare, marinate, and cook a full range of tandoori items, including various breads (Naan, Roti) and succulent meats (Tandoori Chicken, Kebabs, Tikkas).
Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and authenticity in all dishes.
Ensure strict adherence to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Manage inventory, monitor stock levels for the tandoor section, and minimise waste.
Collaborate effectively with the Head Chef and the rest of the kitchen brigade.
What We Are Looking For:
Proven Experience (Minimum 3+ Years) as a Tandoori Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, and traditional tandoor cooking techniques.
Exceptional skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
