Consultant Medical Oncologist | Major Regional Referral Hospital | NSW
The Opportunity We are working closely with a major regional referral hospital in New South Wales and are keen to connect with FRACP-qualified Medical Oncologists interested in full-time opportunities within an established and growing Oncology service.
The department provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient oncology care, including chemotherapy supervision and multidisciplinary case review. Consultants manage a broad solid tumour caseload while contributing to service development within a structured regional network.
This role will appeal to Oncologists seeking autonomy, clinical breadth and the ability to deliver meaningful care within a well-supported regional centre.
The Hospital & Cancer Services
This is a large regional referral hospital providing acute, surgical, ICU and specialist medical services to a catchment of more than 150,000 people across north-west NSW.
The Oncology service includes:
- Dedicated chemotherapy and infusion capability
- Inpatient oncology support
- Multidisciplinary tumour board participation
- Close collaboration with Surgery, Haematology, Palliative Care and ICU
- Established referral pathways to tertiary centres in Newcastle and Sydney for highly specialised therapies
The hospital functions as a key teaching site within its Local Health District.

Requirements - Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) – Medical Oncology
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
- International Medical Graduates assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable
