General Motor Mechanic

Harvey Developments (NT) Pty Ltd is a well-established and reputable company committed to providing quality services in the Northern Territory. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated General Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team.Position Overview:
As a General Motor Mechanic, you will work closely with our Head Heavy Duty Motor Mechanic, assisting with a range of mechanical repairs and maintenance on various vehicles and machinery. This role is essential to ensuring that all our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain light and heavy-duty vehicles and machinery
• Collaborate with the Head Heavy Duty Motor Mechanic to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs, including engine overhauls, brake systems, and electrical components
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and complies with safety regulations
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a General Motor Mechanic or similar role
• Knowledge of both light and heavy-duty vehicle systems and components
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Relevant trade qualifications and certifications
• A valid driver’s license (heavy vehicle license is a plus)
• Hold a TRA Skills Assessment certificate (Australia)
