General Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:As a General Motor Mechanic, you will work closely with our Head Heavy Duty Motor Mechanic, assisting with a range of mechanical repairs and maintenance on various vehicles and machinery. This role is essential to ensuring that all our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose, repair, and maintain light and heavy-duty vehicles and machinery
- Collaborate with the Head Heavy Duty Motor Mechanic to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs, including engine overhauls, brake systems, and electrical components
- Ensure all work meets industry standards and complies with safety regulations
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
Skills & Experience:- Proven experience as a General Motor Mechanic or similar role
- Knowledge of both light and heavy-duty vehicle systems and components
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Relevant trade qualifications and certifications
- A valid driver’s license (heavy vehicle license is a plus)
- Hold a TRA Skills Assessment certificate (Australia)
