Summary
  • This position will lead and coordinate provider onboarding activities, including Physician and Advanced Practice Provider onboarding and orientation, and locum provider onboarding and orientation. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, only the "management" of the provider onboarding process.

    The provider onboarding process is a "concierge-like" experience that often lasts from the moment the Employment Agreement (EA) is signed until months after the provider starts. This includes managing the intricate process of credentialing, licensing, hospital privileging, payer enrollment, and medical staff office (MSO) requirements.

    Specifically handles "locum provider onboarding," which involves fast-tracking credentialing and orientation to ensure immediate operational readiness in clinics, often requiring expertise in, and management of, external staffing agencies.

    Requires familiarity with medical accreditation standards, state licensing regulations, and DEA requirements, supporting the collection and verification of required information to provide to Medical Staff Services to ensure providers meet eligibility to practice upon arrival."

    Additional responsibilities include other activities related to onboarding, orientation, and retention of providers.

Duties
  • Directs and executes the day-to-day operational objectives for the full-cycle of Physician and Advanced Practice Providers (APP) onboarding processes, including oversight, monitoring and assistance with state licensure, hospital privileging and credentialing, and all other required documentation for employment. Responsible for new physician and new APP start dates and onboarding timelines. Oversees scheduling of orientation and other required education for new providers. Communicates effectively with new physicians, new APPs, and administration leadership regarding onboarding expectations.
  • Directs the Mosaic Launch Committee in preparation for all newly employed physicians to ensure an efficient and seamless transition to practice.
  • Serves as an integral liaison between physician candidates, APP candidates, and senior leadership as needed. Meets with physician candidates during site visits to provide an overview of the provider relations services available to each physician.
  • Maintains key working relationships with Operations, Medical Staff Services, Human Resources, Marketing and other administrative and clinical departments.
  • Develops strong relationships with administration and physician leaders to maintain successful retention strategies.
  • Assist in the coordination of the immigration process for newly employed physicians. This includes timely and accurate handling of immigration & operations documentation, familiarity with sponsorship process for various visa types including H-1B, J-1 (including Conrad 30 waivers, and O-1, as well as permanent residency petitions.
  • Prepare, review, and organize immigration documents and petitions in coordination with internal and external legal counsel
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related discipline is required.
  • 2 years relevant healthcare or related experience is required.
