Overview The Salem State University undergraduate nursing program is seeking applicants for a Full-Time, Tenure Track (nine month) contract faculty position in Adult Health nursing. The School of Nursing seeks a faculty member who is dedicated to educational excellence, thrives in a student-centered teaching program, and has strong interest in preparing a nursing workforce able to meet the many challenges of today's healthcare environment. Faculty members also serve the department through curriculum development, program evaluation, and policy development and evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities: Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.

Required Qualifications 1. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
2. Minimum of five years of full-time experience in nursing practice within the last five years
3. Demonstrated expertise in Adult Health nursing
4. Hold a current unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse license or eligibility
Preferred Qualifications 1. An earned doctoral degree
2. Certification CNE, CNE-cl
3. Two or more years of Full Time Equivalency (FTE) in didactic and/or clinical teaching
4. Evidence of emerging scholarly activity
5. Experience in nursing curriculum development, instructional technologies, and program evaluation
6. Ability to teach using Learning Management Systems (LMS), simulation and innovative teaching strategies
7. Experience and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring in a multi-ethnic environment with students of various backgrounds and learning styles
8. Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health nursing
9. Working Location This is an onsite, position in Salem, MA with on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
