- Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
- Supervising and training kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation
- Developing and implementing new menu items, incorporating seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients
- Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Managing kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and staying within budgetary constraints
- Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
- Fostering a positive and productive working environment in the kitchen
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop kitchen staff
- Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the front-of-house team
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and sustainable practices
