The Garvan Institute invites applications for Faculty-level positions to join the Cancer Plasticity and Dormancy Program. We are seeking individuals that complement existing research interests, areas of strength and international partnerships. Of particular interest is research grounded in the theoretical frameworks of field cancerisation, clonal and somatic evolution, cell competition, or ecological oncology. We anticipate applicants would be scientists/clinician scientists with interests in solving fundamental biological questions.
We are happy to consider applications from individuals from broad fields of expertise, including developmental biology, genetics/genomics, systems biology and immunology, if they are to be applied to cancer research. The successful candidate will have a clear research vision and will have demonstrated an aptitude for independent, creative thinking and a strong track record, relative to opportunity and career stage, of high-quality scientific output. The successful candidate will contribute to program-specific cancer questions. They will also be expected to contribute to multidisciplinary collaborations across the Garvan Institute and with other national and international institutions.
