12 years together at Graphiq (acquired by Amazon) before joining Amazon. About the Role This is a backend-heavy Full-Stack Engineering role focused on building scalable infrastructure powering a modern data platform. Roughly
80–90% of the work is backend, solving difficult API, integration, distributed systems, and real-time synchronization challenges. Engineers own products end-to-end in a flat engineering organization, working directly with customers and shipping production code daily. What You'll Own
- Build and maintain APIs connecting legacy ERP systems
- Develop backend infrastructure supporting financial automation products
- Solve complex real-time synchronization challenges across SQL, DLL, and API-based systems
- Design scalable testing frameworks across 1,000+ API endpoints
- Build reliable APIs with SLA enforcement
- Work directly with customers to ship production features quickly
- Own features from architecture through production deployment
RequirementsMust-Have
- 1–5 years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience
- Computer Science degree or equivalent engineering background
- AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure experience
- Strong ownership and execution mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup
- Willing to work primarily in-person in San Francisco (remote considered only for exceptional candidates)

- Startup or founding engineering experience (Pre-Seed through Series C)
- Top Computer Science program (University of Waterloo especially valued)
