Tax Staff Accountant

What we are looking for: Experienced in researching complex accounting & tax issues and preparing the necessary notes and work papers. Confident working with clients. Embraces working closely within a team and assisting other team members when needed. Possesses the communication, people skills and drive to advance within the firm.Role and responsibilities· Perform accounting and bookkeeping duties utilizing QuickBooks
· Perform Bank Reconciliations
· Prepare compliance reports such as payroll, sales tax, business license, property tax
· Post Adjusting Journal Entries
· Perform Yearend closing
· Prepare financial statements
· Prepare tax returnsJob Requirements· Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
· 1-2+ years accounting & tax experience in recent public accounting preferred
· CPA or CPA in process desired
· Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting
· Quick and attentive learner eager to take upon new challenges
· Willing to grow with the firm
