Associate to Senior Associate | TMT, Cyber, Privacy and AI | Sydney Sydney CBD · Full-time · 3+ years PAE · Top-tier Australian law firm
The firm and teamThis is a Chambers Band 1 TMT practice within one of Australia's leading national firms, with a growing cyber, privacy, and AI practice that advises clients across all sectors on some of the most complex and fast-moving regulatory challenges in the market. The team works at board and executive level, and the practice is expanding to meet genuine demand.
The roleYou will work with a senior partner in the TMT group advising clients on:

• Cyber preparedness and incident response
• Complex data, privacy, spam, and surveillance matters, both advisory and transactional
• Design and implementation of data and AI governance frameworks
• Regulatory investigations and enforcement action
• Compliance with Australian cyber and privacy laws

The work spans industries and involves advising clients at a senior level on emerging digital risks. You will also collaborate across other practice groups within the firm on matters where cyber and data intersects with transactions or disputes.
What we are looking for

• 3 or more years PAE in cyber, privacy, or TMT law from a top-tier, national, or international firm, or from an in-house team with relevant regulatory exposure
• Strong technical expertise and drafting skills
• AI governance experience is desirable but not required
• International candidates with common law backgrounds are welcome to apply

What is on offer

• Salary from $155,000 base for Associates, from $200,000 base for Senior Associates, depending on experience
