Job Description:The Business Analyst will report to the Canada Chief Data Officer. The role will be supporting data privacy and protection activities. This will involve reporting functionally to the Data Privacy & Protection Manager.The Business analyst will drive and contribute to the team implementation of the data office framework ensuring its execution and maintenance, as well as working in close collaboration with business partners, technology, and other stakeholders. DATA PRIVACY• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data privacy procedures, guidelines, and training materials in line with regulatory requirements.• Work with Business and Functions teams to ensure data privacy measures are integrated across all functions and that there is proper governance of personal data.• Perform Privacy Impact Assessments to ensure the organization’s data processing activities meet privacy standards.• Contribute to the maintenance of the inventory of data processing activities, ensuring proper documentation and categorization of personal data being collected, stored, or shared.• Training and Awareness: Conduct regular privacy awareness training for employees to educate them about best practices and regulatory obligations related to data privacy.• Evaluate potential risks related to data processing activities and third-party vendor data handling and recommend mitigations to reduce exposure.
