Garage Manager (Heavy Equipment) – Relocation to West Africa

For one of our clients, a well-established company leading large-scale and complex infrastructure projects in West Africa, we are seeking a professional and highly skilled Garage Manager to lead the maintenance and mechanical operations of the company's heavy equipment at the central workshop.
Role Overview:

• Managing a workshop with approximately 10 units of heavy equipment (excavators, dumpers, forklifts, and trucks) and a team of local mechanics.
• Overseeing budget preparation, utilizing Excel for tracking, and providing professional reports to the company management.
• Managing the procurement of spare parts within Africa.
• The position requires relocation to a comfortable country in West Africa (Single status).
• The workshop is expected to expand soon following the launch of new projects.

Requirements:

• Certified Mechanic (Mandatory) with proven expertise in heavy equipment maintenance.
• 5-15 years of experience in managing a heavy equipment workshop.
• Previous experience in a similar role in Africa – a significant advantage.
• Proven ability in budget management and presenting a professional vision to executive management.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to "get your hands dirty" when needed.
• Strong team player with a 100% reliable and thorough personality.
