The role of an Ember chef is to deliver a consistent high-quality products exactly as they are designed in a timely manner. To be a productive & valuable team member, enhancing the businesses result & improving the brands reputation through your efforts.Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth preparation and service.
Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless operations.
Preparing and cooking meals to a high standard. Supervising dish quality throughout preparation and presentation.
Collaborate with the team to prepare, following recipes correctly and present high-quality dishes using fresh, local ingredients.
Consulting with servers about the dishes on menu to educate them.
Demonstrating methods and providing guidance on cooking techniques.
Manage inventory, maintain stock levels, and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
Educating on and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards throughout the kitchen.
Working to a set budget for costing of all dishes.
Managing the staff budget daily to achieve the desired outcome for managers.
Assists in the planning of menus and determining food quantities and costs.Qualifications
Diploma of Hospitality Management or at least 3 years of relevant full-time employment in lieu of formal qualifications.
Basic food handling certificate.Skills
