Job Description:
Construction Project Manager – Handyman Division (QLD Expansion) Full-Time | Brisbane, QLD About the RoleQuikky Move is expanding its handyman operations into Queensland, targeting strong demand in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics. We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Construction Project Manager to lead this expansion and establish a full-service handyman division across Brisbane and surrounding areas.This is a senior regional leadership role, responsible for building the operational structure, recruiting and managing teams, establishing service standards, and overseeing project delivery across dozens of residential and light commercial clients. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic rollout of the Handyman Division in QLD
  • Recruit, train, and supervise handyman teams and subcontractors
  • Coordinate installation, repairs, maintenance and minor works projects across multiple sites
  • Plan project scopes, resource allocation, and scheduling
  • Establish and enforce technical and safety standards
  • Manage procurement and logistics of tools, vehicles, and materials
  • Report directly to the Director of Quikky Move
  • Deliver periodic performance reviews and KPI tracking
  • Interface with clients, builders, and government contractors

Required Experience
  • Minimum 10+ years in construction or maintenance project management
  • Prior experience leading large-scale repair, installation, or infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to manage multi-location teams and subcontractors
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Fluent English and strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, make strategic decisions, and execute complex field operations
  • Full Australian driver’s license or ability to convert within 3 months

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in government, embassy, or military facility construction
  • Recognised industry awards or distinctions
  • High-level stakeholder engagement capability
  • Familiarity with project budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance

Employment Conditions
  • Full-time, 38 hours per week
  • Base Salary: AUD $185,000 per annum
  • Plus 11.5% superannuation
  • Ongoing/permanent position
  • Based in Brisbane, QLD (interstate travel may be required)
  • This role is open to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and international candidates eligible for employer-sponsored visas
