Cheetham Salt is Australia's largest producer and refiner of solar salt, Cheetham Salt offers reliable salt products to a broad range of industries including the industrial, food, stockfeed, hide and pool sectors. Our Sea Lake Operations in north-west Victoria are currently seeking a qualified Manufacturing Coordinator to join our dynamic site leadership team. Sea Lake is a town in the Mallee district of north-west Victoria and is situated along the southern shores of the beautiful Lake Tyrell. The town is located 351kms north-west of Melbourne, and 70kms west of Swan Hill, in the heart of Australia's wheat belt and part of the beautiful silo trail. Life at Cheetham Salt

 The role
This role reports directly to the Site Manager. The Manufacturing Coordinator sits within the site leadership team, influences at all levels, and is well supported by the site leaders.  The role is responsible for the following:
  • Lead & Deliver a high level of Safety, Quality & Environmental standards
  • Support the Site Manager to achieve a high level of Alignment & Engagement of employees as measured in the annual Alignment & Engagement Survey
  • Achieve and exceed the site manufacturing budget by planning, directing and controlling the manufacturing operations within cost efficiencies and inventory restraints
  • Manufacture a product that meets all Cheetham's quality standards and specifications
  • Improve manufacturing operations to gain efficiencies and increased throughput rates while increasing our quality efforts
  • Recruit, train, motivate and coach employees to reach high efficiency standards while manufacturing a quality product and working safely
  • Continuous improvement of the manufacturing process utilising the Cheetham Manufacturing Excellence methodologies

About you
You have proven leadership skills in a Manufacturing or Production environment and are able to operate under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude. You are keen and passionate about building strong relationships and a positive team culture.  With your excellent problem solving skills and resourceful and creating thinking, you are able to think 'outside the box' to solve problems.
  • Min 5 years' experience as a Manufacturing/Production Supervisor or similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact & influence with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office suite
