Delivery Driver

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, good communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting. The ideal applicant will have previous delivery experience and a clean driving record, committed to providing exceptional service to our customers. Duties

• Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes in a timely manner
• Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manoeuvring of packages
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met
• Assist with warehouse tasks when necessary, including organising stock and preparing deliveries

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving or logistics
• Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van, or lorry)
• Experience with warehouse operations and handling heavy loads is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving
• Familiarity with local routes and navigation tools is preferred
