Job Description:
📍 Location: Remote (Canada-based & immigrant founders highly encouraged) ⏳ Commitment: Part-Time (20–30 hrs/week) | Phase 1: 3–6 Month Sprint | 💰 Compensation: Equity-Based
🔥 Why Canada, Why Now Canada is one of the most founder-friendly ecosystems in the world — from SR&ED tax credits and clean-tech grants, to global market access and founder-friendly immigration pathways.
But many immigrant and experienced operators find themselves boxed out of opportunities.
That’s where Nordiqon Venture Studio comes in. We don’t just advise — we co-build shoulder-to-shoulder with founders, embedding product, GTM, and operations expertise into your venture from day one.
If you’re an immigrant entrepreneur in Canada, a diaspora founder looking north, or a seasoned operator ready for your shot at building a global company, this is your path to equity, traction, and a launchpad into North America and beyond.
🚀 About Nordiqon Venture Studio Nordiqon is Canada’s first venture studio purpose-built for immigrant, diaspora, and globally-minded founders. We co-create bold, scalable startups in: ✅ Fintech ✅ Health Tech ✅ Climate Tech ✅ Future of Work ✅ Supply Chain Tech ✅ AI & Automation
Whether you bring your own concept or choose from our validated pipeline, we help you launch lean, access funding, and scale globally.
🎯 The Role: Founder-in-Residence You’ll join our Sprint-to-Spinout Track — a 3–6 month, part-time sprint designed to validate high-potential ventures:
  • Bring your own idea (with founder-market fit), OR
  • Select from our pipeline of problem-focused, validated opportunities

Your mission: lead discovery, prototype quickly, secure early traction, and set the foundation for scale. Successful founders transition into incubation with full studio support and early funding readiness.
💼 What You’ll Do
  • Validate a high-potential problem space with real customers
  • Prototype or refine an MVP with our in-house team
  • Build early traction (waitlists, pilots, LOIs, first revenue)
  • Shape the GTM strategy and investor narrative
  • Join weekly studio check-ins and cohort sessions
  • Transition into full-time CEO/Co-Founder role if validated

🔍 Who You Are
  • Experienced operator, product leader, ex-founder, or deep domain expert
  • Have built/scaled products or led innovation initiatives
  • Already working on a compelling idea or eager to co-build with us
  • Thrive in ambiguity and validate before scaling
  • Passionate about solving real, high-friction problems in our focus sectors
  • Canadian immigrants, permanent residents, or diaspora founders exploring a Canadian base highly encouraged

🎁 What We Offer
  • Founder-level role with clear path to CEO/Co-Founder
  • Equity-only during sprint, with milestone-based vesting tied to traction
  • Transition to equity + competitive pay as the venture grows
  • Full studio support: branding, product, GTM, legal, hiring, fundraising
  • 6–12 month incubation post-sprint to scale traction and prepare for funding
  • Optional relocation support & Canadian Startup Visa sponsorship

⚙️ Program Flow Phase 1 — Sprint (3–6 months): Validate market fit, MVP, and early traction Phase 2 — Incubation (6–12 months): Grow toward product-market fit & funding readiness Outcome: A spinout-ready venture with you as CEO/Co-Founder, backed by Nordiqon’s network and positioned for funding.
