Āu Mahi | What You Will Do We are seeking a talented Graduate Research Assistant - Architecture to join our team and contribute to an innovative digital concrete project. This position will join Senior Lecturer Giuseppe Loporcaro' s research group on 3D Concrete Printing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the architectural component of the research in 3D Concrete Printing for residential housing applications. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and optimize parametric models for architectural and structural components.
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers on digital fabrication and concrete printing projects.
- Integrate building physics principles into parametric workflows.
- Assist in concept development, visualization, and documentation.
Mōu | Who You Are You will hold a Bachelor's (Master's desirable) Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or relevant subject, as well as have:
- Strong proficiency in Rhino-Grasshopper for parametric design and modelling.
- Excellent architectural design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality
- A solid understanding of building physics and technical aspects of architectural design.
- Interest in computational design, digital fabrication, and emerging construction technologies.
- Experience with 3D Concrete Printing or digital fabrication techniques. (desirable)
- Knowledge of structural optimization and material performance. (desirable)
