MercyAscot Hospitals is one of New Zealand’s largest private surgical hospital groups based in Auckland, providing a wide range of specialist surgical and medical services across multiple hospital sites including Mercy and Ascot hospitals.An RN – Cardiothoracic Operating Theatres is a Registered Nurse (RN) who works in a cardiac and thoracic surgery operating room, assisting with complex procedures such as open-heart surgery, valve replacements, coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), thoracic surgery, and sometimes heart/lung transplants. Typical Job Description Key responsibilities include:Preparing the operating theatre before surgery.Scrubbing and assisting surgeons during cardiothoracic procedures.Maintaining sterile technique and infection control standards.Handling specialized cardiac surgical instruments and equipment.Monitoring patient safety throughout the procedure.Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists, perfusionists, and theatre staff.Assisting with surgical counts, documentation, and postoperative handover.Participating in on-call rosters for emergency cardiac surgeries.Pay: $6,000.00 – $8,100.00 per monthBenefits:
