Disability Adviser
Vacancy Ref 51540 Location Birmingham Salary £33,966 - £38,205 per annum Closing Date Friday, May 30, 2025 - THE ROLE - The primary purpose of this role is to provide advice and support to disabled students. Key responsibilities include assessing support needs, conducting disability review interviews, and managing support arrangements at the Birmingham campuses. The post holder will assist with Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) applications where appropriate and serve as a contact point for all students, including those not eligible for DSA. The role involves liaising with external agencies and internal staff to ensure students' needs are met and contributing to the University’s disability support procedures. The post holder will have an in-depth understanding of learning support in a higher education context, and in undertaking their responsibilities will be expected to lead by example and to promote Equality and Diversity and the Dignity at Work ethos. The role may involve working at other campuses and might require duties outside of normal working hours.
